James Horan has named the Mayo team to play New York on Sunday with three player making their championship debuts.
James McCormack, Matthew Ruane and Ardagh’s James Carr start in the Big Apple for the green and red.
Its a very strong side with only two changes from the side that beat Kerry in the League final. McCormack and Evan Regan coming in for the experienced Donal Vaughan and O’Connor, who reportedly is nursing a facial injury.
Castlebar’s Paddy Durcan will captain the side from wing-back in O’Connor’s absence.
Mayo are bidding for a first provincial title since 2015 and with Horan back in charge, it may be a winning run in 2019.
The winners of this game will play either Roscommon or Leitrim in Connacht semi-final on 25 May.
